Grommets are placed every 24 inches. They have triple-thick hems and double-stitched seams and hems. They're mildew resistant, too.Because our canvas tarps are fabricated using colored dyes and waterproofing wax, they are not recommended for use as car or boat covers. Because they are treated with water repellant agents made from petroleum byproducts, they will produce a strong odor, although the odor will dissipate as the material is exposed to air. For that reason, don't use them indoors initially.
