Product Description
Heavy-duty workspaces call for our 12' x 12' canvas tarps from Canopies and Tarps. Our durable brown 12' x 12' canvas tarps are made from 100% single-filled military cotton duck fabric that is a hefty 10-ounces per square yard. Our cotton 12' x 12' canvas tarps reduce condensation, are mildew- and water-resistant and offer great wind protection, which makes them a great choice to use to protect equipment when it is not in use or to protect workspaces. Canvas tarps can also be used as drop cloths to floors in open-air areas during improvement projects.
Our premium 100% cotton 12' x 12' canvas tarp has extras that you'll appreciate, including double-stitched hems and seams. To protect the hems from damage, we've made them triple thick for ultra-durability and sturdiness. This strong and breathable brown cotton 12' x 12' canvas tarp has metal reinforced grommets installed every 24" so you can secure this tarp with your choice of tie downs.
Because our brown 12' x 12' canvas tarps are manufactured and treated with waterproofing wax and colored with dye, they are not recommended to use as car or boat covers. These dyes and waxes may rub off and stain painted surfaces that the fabric comes into contact with.
Canvas tarps are also not recommended to be used as trailer tarps: the canvas tarp's material is not strong enough to withstand the pulling force of the wind that is generated during transit. Because 12' x 12' canvas tarps do not have the high tensile strength needed to withstand excessive pulling forces, it is not recommended to use our canvas tarps for applications that require excessive pulling the fabric's grommets. For high-intensity jobs, check out our vinyl tarps or heavy-duty poly tarps.
Our 12' x 12' 100% cotton canvas tarps should not be used as canopy tops, as sidewalls or as divider curtains. They are also not recommended for use indoors or in enclosed spaces: canvas tarps are treated with water-repellant agents that are made from petroleum byproducts and often retain a strong odor. Although this odor dissipates with time, these products should not be used in enclosed spaces. Canvas tarps are water resistant, not waterproof. Canvas tarp material has a saturation point and will eventually leak through if they are in contact with water and rain.
Because this canvas tarp is made using 100% cotton fibers, the fabric will shrink over time. The amount of shrinkage is dependent on environmental conditions, such as a weather, sun exposure and humidity.
